and a Silver Award

You may have noticed we've changed our name to Hensleigh House...

The tourist board have changed their policy and only allow the name Hotel if the establishment serves an evening meal 365 days a year. Whilst we enjoy serving delicious local food, we cannot offer it every evening and so we have decided to re-grade as guest accommodation, earning ourselves 4 stars and a silver commendation!

A great accolade to all our staff for their fantastic service and attention to detail which we know you enjoy!

Hensleigh House is  delightful family-run guest accommodation near the sea and world famous Jurassic cliffs of West Dorset. 

John and Caroline Davis offer you a welcome second to none and has recently been refurbished to the highest standard.

Our restaurant has gained a reputation for its quality cuisine specialising in fresh fish from Lyme Bay,  which can be enjoyed in the bright conservatory or the elegant dining room.

Charmouth is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty with a safe sand and shingle beach that stretches towards Golden Cap, the highest point on the south coast.
